A standard gelcoat contains around 40% of styrene. HS Composites will soon stock ECOGEL S1 with only 16% styrene!
Some of the styrene has been replaced with less volatile lower odour monomers.
Typical loss of volatile styrene during spraying and curing:
- Standard Gelcoat - 26%
- CRYSTIC ECOGEL S1 - 7.7%
